Attention 6th Grade Parents
It's hard to believe that we have 26 days of school left -- where has this year gone?!?! Below are a few announcements and reminders of recent things to come at St. Leo's School.

Mr. Falletti

PS: Mrs. Baier and I are working on a full day field trip for Tuesday, June 6th, 2017. More details will be sent home shortly.
  • May 9, 2017
    • NO SCHOOL - All RCAN Teachers will be in Newark working hard on science curriculum and mapping with the Archdiocese of Newark.
    • 1st Annual Spring Gala at 7:00pm
  • May 10, 2017: 2nd & 6th Grade Field Trip - here are some Q & A about the trip.
    • How should the children dress?
All students should be in layers with LONG Sleeves and LONG pants. This is not an option. It is a precaution for tics. Remember BRIGHT COLORS. Students will also wear their light blue ST. Leo's Gym Shirt over the long sleeved shirt.

Please wear appropriate gear especially if it rains. Every child should plan on having a rain coat or poncho if needed. If it is drizzling or raining we will still be out on the trails. If there is a thunderstorm or lightening we will have a Plan B in action.

    • Should the children use spray to protect themselves from tics for the field trip? Students may be sprayed with the product BEFORE they come to the center. No student will be allow to do so when we are there.
  • Is there a concern for Tics? YES - which is why we are taking extra precautions during this field trip. Students will be partnered up with a buddy to check for tics both during and after the trip.
  • Will we have the opportunity to walk on the trails?
Yes, the students will be going off trail at one point to make a shelter.
  • When should your child arrive to school? And what should you do if your child is not attending the field trip? Please make sure your child arrives on time (even if he or she is not attending the trip). Any student(s) not attending the trip should attend school as we will be back by lunch time.
  • What should your child bring to the field trip? Students attending the field trip should bring a small (lite) backpack to carry their water and necessities. Cell phones are allowed, but at the risk and responsibility of the student. St. Leo's and Flat Rock hold no responsibility for lost or damaged property.
