    • Work on essay question because you may bring notes in the day of the final exam

Hello 6th Grade Families,

Today we went over the exam review sheet and worked on some practice questions. I also explained to the 6th grade that for their essay question they may write about Tuck Everlasting instead of Wonder.

Today we worked on independent and subordinate clauses. We discussed what they are and how they are used differently. After grammar we moved to reading Tuck Everlasting. We continued finding figurative language, making predictions, inferences, and identified character traits.

  • Due Tomorrow- Grammar pg. 186 exercise #2- #6-10 DO NOT underline the prepositional phrase that you add- instead put it in parentheses like we do in class EX: She went home (with her friends.)
  • ANSWER the question in GOOGLE CLASSROOM- students were given time during Computers to complete this assignment

Today we went over last night's homework. It is extremely important that all students write down their homework; they are almost 7th graders and I explained to them that the work load will get heavier and that they should break bad habits before that happens. 
After grammar we moved onto reading more from Tuck Everlasting
